The only differences between the ASUS RT-AC88U and ASUS RT-AC5300 as follows

1). AC88U has 8 GbE ports whereas AC5300 has 4 GbE ports.
2). AC88U is dual band (1x 2.4GHz and 1x 5GHz) whereas AC5300 is tri-band (1x 2.4GHz and 2x 5GHz)
